Ejector Installation Precautions

GW ejector installation precautions

1. The ejector must be installed horizontally or vertically upward. If it is installed vertically downward, the outlet pressure must be at least 0.35~0.7kg/cm2;

2. If the outlet of the ejector is directly transported to the outside atmosphere, in order to optimize the suction capacity of the ejector, the outlet of the ejector should be connected to a pipe with a diameter of not less than DN300;

3. The nominal diameter of the flow valve and pipeline connected to the ejector shall not be smaller than the nominal diameter of the ejector;

4. The inlet and outlet of the ejector require a certain pressure difference to work properly (usually the pressure difference is not less than 25-30%). When the pressure difference is not enough, it is necessary to increase the inlet pressure of the ejector or reduce the outlet pressure of the ejector; it is recommended to install a pressure gauge at the inlet and outlet of the ejector to measure the pressure difference;

5. When connecting the flange of the ejector, pay attention to the stress-free connection. The inlet and outlet of the ejector and the air suction port must be fixed to prevent excessive stress on the suction throat of the ejector to ensure the normal operation of the ejector;

6. When the ejector is installed in the water in the pool, if the pipes connected to it are made of carbon steel, insulation measures should be taken to prevent galvanic corrosion of the carbon steel pipes. At the same time, the suction pipe above the water surface must be fixed;

7. When installing, be careful not to let foreign matter fall into the suction pipe to avoid clogging;

8. When the ejector is installed outside the pool, if the self-priming type is used, it is recommended that the ejector be installed above the water surface of the pool to prevent sewage from flowing out when the water pump suddenly stops. The air supply pipe of the blast and pressurized type should also be higher than the water surface. It is recommended to install a bypass branch pipe and a self-priming bypass valve between the blast air inlet valve and the suction port of the ejector;

9. For self-priming installation, it is recommended that the suction port be in a downward or horizontal position;

10. Arrange the brackets according to the specific conditions of the pipeline layout and the corresponding pipeline installation standards;

11. To ensure the working water volume of the ejector and the oxygenation performance of the ejector, the inlet and outlet valves of the water pump and the valves installed on the pipes connected to the jet aeration system should all use gate valves, and butterfly valves should not be used;

12. When welding during pipeline construction, be sure to ensure that the welding is fully penetrated and that there are no welding flashes or welding/slag inclusions falling into the throat of the ejector and the pipeline to prevent the ejector from working properly;

13. If the suction port is connected to oxygen, ozone or other special process medium pipelines, it must comply with the relevant pipeline installation specifications.
